Cancellation Policy
valid from 1 February 2026
We run a small, boutique, home-style boarding service with a limited number of places. Each booking reserves a space exclusively for your dog. When a booking is cancelled at short notice, it isn’t always possible to refill that place. For this reason, cancellation fees apply and help protect our livelihood while allowing us to continue providing the high level of personalised care we’re known for.
Peak Periods: Victorian Easter School Holidays and Victorian Summer School Holidays
Please note special arrangements for 20 December 2026 to 3 January 2027
Only applies to Sleepover and Doggy Day Care
14+ days before check-in: Full refund or credit.
7–13 days before check-in: 50 % refund or credit. (valid 12 months).
Less than 7 days / no-show: 100 % of fees retained.
Hike in the Woods, any other walking services and training cancellation policy - same as non-peak period.
Special Arrangements - Christmas and New Year Boarding Bookings
(20 December 2026 to 3 January 2027)
No Doggy Day Care bookings will be accepted more then one week ahead, as we do give priority to Sleepover bookings between 20 December 2026 and 3 January 2027. Waiting list will be in place.
1 December 2026 - payment is due for Christmas and New Year Bookings. Payment are not transferable or refundable. Failure to pay results in cancellation. Once booking is confirmed all dates are booked regardless of changes, late arrivals or early departures. No refunds or credits will be given. For booking confirmed after 1 December, payment is due at time of booking.
20 December 2026 - last day open for drop off/pick up before Christmas.
21-26 December - no public access to The Dog House Farm Stay
27 December 2026 - we are open for pick up and drop off.
28 December to 2 January - no public access to The Dog House Farm Stay
3 January 2027 - we are open for pick up and drop off.

Non - Peak Periods: any other times
Sleepover and Doggy Day Care
7+ days before check-in: Full refund or credit.
3–6 days before check-in: 50 % refund or credit.
Less than 3 days / no-show: 100 % of fees retained.
Hike in the Woods and any other walking services
Cancel for free up to 48hrs ahead.
50% of fee if cancel within 48hrs
100% of fee if cancel within 24 hrs or no show.
Training services
Cancel for free up to 2 weeks ahead. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged at the normal rate.
Rescheduling the appointment is the preferred option and is available up to two occasions only.
